Summary

The Sustainability Lecture Series is a conference cycle jointly organised by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macao and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) since 2020. The series aims to bring together speakers from both the academic and industry communities from France and Hong Kong to share their perspectives, experiences, and best practices related to sustainability. As the world accelerates toward net-zero goals, the aviation industry faces one of its greatest challenges—and opportunities—yet.

With support of École Nationale de l’Aviation Civile (ENAC) and Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering (AAE) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), this year’s Sustainability Lecture Series brings together leading experts to explore the future of green aviation. Featuring two dynamic panel sessions, the event will first examine next-generation onboard energy solutions beyond Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF), then tackle the broader societal and systemic shifts required to decarbonise air transport. Join us at PolyU for an afternoon of cross-disciplinary dialogue, innovation, and collaboration in building a more sustainable future for flight.
