Summary
2026 marks the opening year of the 15th Five-Year Plan. During the Fourth Session of the 14th National People’s Congress this year, the Government Work Report clearly proposed deepening and expanding the “Artificial Intelligence+” initiative, promoting the commercialization and large-scale application of AI in key industries, building high-quality datasets, and improving AI governance. This event aims to implement the spirit of the “Two Sessions” by empowering Hong Kong’s real economy through “AI+”, and supporting Hong Kong in leveraging its unique advantages in the country’s high-quality development.
The 2026/27 Budget continues to increase investment in innovation and technology (I&T) and artificial intelligence development, while strengthening the application of AI across industries. By leveraging technological innovation to drive industrial innovation, it seeks to promote cross-sector integration and financial empowerment. This event actively responds to the Budget’s initiatives on “artificial intelligence,” the “digital economy,” and “innovation and technology,” and aligns with the government’s efforts to develop the Northern Metropolis into a new international hub for innovation and technology.
