Summary
Co-hosted by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, the second conference held within the “Sustainability Lecture Series: Can We Make our Planet Great Again” consisted university-industry mix of speakers to share their views, experiences and good practices towards sustainability on 2 Jun 2021. The seminar featured the topic, Power the Future: Potential and Challenges, from Energy Storage to Green Building. It was organized by Research Institute for Sustainable Urban Development (RISUD) and Innovation and Technology Development Office (ITDO) of PolyU.
Mr. Alexandre Giorgini, Consul General, Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau and Prof. Xiangdong Li, Dean of Faculty of Construction and Environment, Director of Research Institute for Sustainable Urban Development, Chair Professor of Environmental Science and Technology, PolyU attended and delivered a welcome speech. The online seminar was a big success with participation from over 150 audiences and six insightful speeches and discussions had been carried through the 2.5-hour hybrid seminar.
