Prof. Yu joined PolyU in 2025 Feb. as an Assistant Professor. Prof. Han Yu received his B.S. degree at PKU in 2017 under the supervision of Prof. Dahui Zhao. In 2021, he got his PhD degree in Chemistry at HKUST under the supervision of Prof. He Yan. From 2021 to 2023, Dr. Yu performed as a post-doc at the same school under the supervision of Prof. He Yan & Prof. Zhengtang Luo. In 2024-2025, Prof. Yu was performing as a research assistant professor at HKUST to develop advanced materials for high-performance organic solar cells. Prof. Yu has published 80 SCI research papers, 38 of them as first/co-first/corresponding authors in Nat. Rev. Mater., Nat. Commun., Joule, Energy Environ. Sci., Adv. Mater., Angew. Chem., Adv. Energy Mater. and other journals. 8 of them are selected as ESI highly cited papers. Prof. Yu’s total citations are more than 4900, and his h-factor is 37 (Google Scholar). Prof. Yu has applied 2 Chinese patents about photovoltaic materials and 1 has been in force. Prof. Yu has won the GRF 2023/2024 from the Hong Kong Research Grant Council as a principal investigator (PI). This year, Prof. Yu just got the Youth Science Foundation (Type C) by the National Science Foundation of China.
