Biography
Dr PU earned his B.E. (2016) and Ph.D. (2021) from Sichuan University, and received his joint Ph.D. training at UCLA (2019–2021). He joined PolyU in 2022 as Postdoc, RAP, and AP. His research integrates polymer physics, textile engineering, and mechanical engineering to advance the development of soft, functional materials, smart fibers, and soft actuators with broad applications in soft robotics, wearable haptics, and smart textiles. He has published more than 30 high-impact papers in top-tier journals, including Nature, Science, Science Advances, and Advanced Materials.
