Topic: AI Accelerates ScientificDiscovery and Technological Innovation

This speech will provide a brief introduction to scientific research methodology and approaches to technology innovation and present a case study on the enhancement of flexible electronic circuits as an example of technological advancement. The fundamental principles of technology system evolutionary routes and evolutionary trees will be discussed, emphasizing their significance in predicting the future development of a particular technology system. Furthermore, the seminar will explore the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on creative and innovative activities, highlighting the progress made in the convergence of AI and innovation.

Founder of Big Fiber Industry Working Group

Mr Jian WANG, a senior expert in automation and robotics with more than 30 years of experience and successful founders of several high-tech enterprises, initiated the Big Fiber Industry Working Group in 2016 to define the Big Fiber concept and promote the technological and industrial revolution based on advanced fibers and fabrics. In the last decade, he has devoted himself to the research and promotion of technology innovation methodology, and has been invited to offer several technology innovation courses for graduate and doctoral students at Tsinghua University since 2017, ranging from cross-domain innovation, innovation methodology and innovative thinking.
