RC-CSC not only arranged international conferences but also actively contributed to the future developments of science and technology innovations in Hong Kong. RC-CSC has invited Dr. Xu Guangchen (Director of Physical Sciences, Wiley China) to co-arrange the “The First Round Table Conference of Virtual Science and Technology Innovation” in Harbour Plaza Metropolis, Hung Hom on 12 October 2023.
This round table conference has invited over 25 senior scientists and young researchers from local universities as the advisory board members to discuss the feasibility of virtual science and technology innovations. In particular, all the invited scientists have actively shared their opinions and comments on the development direction of applying advanced AI and big data technologies to establish the virtual science and technology innovation center with multi-functions of research publications, research communications, and research transfer activities. Moreover, the conference also discussed the establishment of a digital laboratory in Hong Kong to accelerate experimental research and promote data sharing/exchange through the novel virtual research platform. This conference has supplied very important and insightful opinions from the advisory board, which has laid a solid foundation for the development of science and technology innovation in Hong Kong.
