On 1 March, the Faculty of Business organised a forum on the “Contributions of PolyU Alumni to the Country” to commemorate the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening-up, bringing together some 250 community leaders, industry partners, professionals from various sectors, PolyU alumni, staff and students.

At the forum, former PolyU Council Chairman Sir Gordon Wu delivered a keynote speech to share his insights on the topic “1978-2018 Open Door and Reform – Economic Miracle”. In addition, PolyU alumni and University Fellows took part in a series of thought provoking panel discussions and shared their past experiences in engaging and contributing to mainland’s development. They also deliberated on the implications of China’s reform for the world, the role of Hong Kong, as well as how to capitalise on the opportunities brought by the nation’s development. Details>>
