Dr Shirley Ngai of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences was awarded the Second Prize in the 2018 National Teaching Achievement Award (High Education) by the Ministry of Education, in recognition of her outstanding teaching performance and achievements.

 

Dr Ngai has designed various innovative pedagogical methods for physiotherapy teaching, such as blended learning, the flipped-classroom approach and computerised medical simulation, to help students bridge the gap between classroom training and clinical placement.
