Dr YANG Guang

Assistant Professor

Biography

Dr. Yang received his PhD degree in Microelectronics and Solid State Electronics from Wuhan University, China, in 2019. During his PhD studies, he worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from March 2017 to December 2018. From 2019 to 2023, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Applied Physical Science at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, supervised by Prof. Jinsong Huang. Dr. Yang joined The Hong Kong Polytechnic University as an Assistant Professor in November 2023.

Dr. Yang has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers, including several high-impact papers in prestigious journals such as Nature, Nature Photonics, Nature Energy, and Joule, etc. As of Feb 2024, Dr. Yang’s H-index is 40 with over 7500 citations (https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=OnfZfzsAAAAJ&hl=zh-CN). His current work focuses on the optoelectronic characteristics of perovskite materials and their applications in optoelectronics, such as high throughput fabrication of perovskite modules and perovskite-based tandem devices as well as device physics.
