Prof. Eric Chui on Social Responsibilities in AI Era

Environmental, social, and governance factors have become core indicators for measuring corporate sustainability in recent years. However, the focus tends to fall on the “environmental” and “governance” aspects, while the “social” dimension, with its broad scope and difficulty in quantification, often leaves businesses unsure where to begin or even deterred from taking action. In an interview with Headline Daily, Prof. Eric Chui, Head of Department of Applied Social Sciences of PolyU and Co-Director of PReCIT, shared that in an era where artificial intelligence is sweeping the globe, integrating technology with a people-oriented approach is the key to truly realising the value of social responsibility.
