Prof. Christopher Chao, Senior Vice President (Research and Innovation) of PolyU and Director of PReCIT, penned an article in Wen Wei Po, discussing a recent study conducted by PReCIT on the topic of " Internationalisation of Science and Technology Development in Hong Kong," commissioned by the Ministry of Science and Technology’s National Center for Science and Technology Evaluation. The article also explored the roles of local higher education institutions in supporting the Government and industries in their push for internationalisation. Prof. Chao shared the need for "institutional opening" in Hong Kong, with universities serving as the core hub for knowledge transfer, their research acting as a tool to support industry decision-making, and their think tanks acting as key partners in internationalisation.
