Funded by the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and organised by the Ministry of Science and Technology’s National Center for Science and Technology Evaluation, the “Seminar on Strengthen the Internationalisation of S&T to Promote an Open Innovation Ecosystem in Asia-Pacific Region” is taking place in Shenzhen today. The Seminar focused on exchanging ideas on topics of internationalisation of science and technology as well as open innovative ecosystems. Prof. Christopher Chao, Senior Vice President (Research and Innovation) of PolyU and Director of PReCIT, as the representative of Hong Kong, shared on the topic of “Internationalisation of Science and Technology Development in Hong Kong” with representatives of APEC member economies. The discussion covered research results on Hong Kong's strategic layout, collaborative ecosystems, and international network construction in the development of science and technology internationalisation, and proposed development policy recommendations.
