It’s proposed in the 2023 Policy Address to revitalise Hung Hom Station and nearby sites. HK01 reported that the Green Deck proposal, which was introduced by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University over the Hung Hom Cross Harbour Tunnel Toll Plaza aiming to revitalise urban centres and boost the local economy, will be taken into consideration in the Government’s preliminary study, and part of the proposal would be adopted.
The Green Deck, which would be built over the Hung Hom Cross Harbour Tunnel Toll Plaza, aims to improve air quality and community health, restore community connectivity, satisfy social needs, revitalize urban centers and boost the local economy. PReCIT is assigned to assessing public support on the latest Green Deck proposal by the project team and a forum for collecting public opinion was held in March 2023.
