Dr Chili Wu, Assistant Director of PReCIT of PolyU and Principal Research Fellow of Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering, discussed the development of Hong Kong universities and innovation and technology (I&T) enterprises in Qianhai, as well as the impact of Qianhai on Hong Kong’s I&T development in an interview with Wen Wei Po. Dr Wu shared that Hong Kong is actively building an international I&T hub, encouraging local enterprises to expand into the mainland market. Taking PolyU as an example, Hong Kong universities are establishing research institutes and centres in the mainland. Qianhai and Hetao have become significant platforms for collaboration among industry, academic and research sectors within Hong Kong universities.
