Prof. Eric Chui, Head of Department of Applied Social Sciences of PolyU and Co-Director of PReCIT, shared insights on the issue of school dropout youth in RTHK's radio programme “Letter to Hong Kong." Prof. Chui emphasised that school dropout youth are not "problematic students;" they often do not lack the desire to learn but rather lack directions, motivation, and a suitable approach for themselves. Prof. Chui pointed out that the issue of youth dropping out of school not only impacts their own development but could potentially have long-term effects on society and incur heavy costs.
