Research Work in ME Labs

 
Objective In order to help undergraduate students gain research experience during their studies, ME Department has opportunities for undergraduate students to carry out research related work in labs.
Eligibility All full-time undergraduate students of Department of Mechanical Engineering are eligible to apply.
Work duration Selected students will work as student helpers in ME laboratories:
  • full-time during summer break or winter break
  • part-time throughout the year

URIS Scholarship

Undergraduate Research and Innovation Scheme (URIS) is a prestigious programme aimed to strengthen academic curiosity and enquiry-based learning among undergraduate students. It is our University's objective to nurture the next generation researchers and innovators. A URIS scholarship of HK$10,000 and HK$7,000 will be awarded to each student participating in an individual project and participating in a group project, respectively. The scholarship will be issued to students in two instalments, upon a satisfactory rating of the mid-term and completion reports.

STEM Internship Scheme

Set up by the Innovation and Technology Commission (“ITC”), HKSAR government, the STEM Internship Scheme (the “Scheme”) encourages STEM students to gain innovation and technology (“I&T”)-related work experience during their studies and to foster their interest in pursuing a career in I&T after graduation, so as to enlarge the local I&T talent pool.
