On the evening of 21 September 2025, the original play “Shanbei Public School” by Renmin University of China was performed at PolyU, marking the play’s debut in Hong Kong.
On 21 September 2025, the Renmin University of China Student Drama Troupe made its first visit to Hong Kong, presenting the large-scale original historical play "Shanbei Public School" at the Jockey Club Auditorium of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Distinguished guests included Zhou Qiang, Deputy Director-General of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R; Wang Yi, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President of Renmin University of China; Shen Qiping, Associate Vice President of PolyU; representatives from the Sino United Publishing (Holdings) Limited, Shun Shin Kindness Foundation, and other organizations. Faculties and students from PolyU, The Education University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong Baptist University, and Lingnan University, along with Renmin University alumni in Hong Kong and people from various sectors also attended the event. The premiere in Hong Kong brought together nearly 1,500 distinguished guests.
