The main objective of setting up this unit in the department is to provide different unique services in Hong Kong, which are mainly relevant to various metal forming technologies as described in following areas. Meanwhile, through the manipulation of our established laboratories, the unit is able to further demonstrate and provide stronger support on learning and teaching as well as research and consultancy. The names of those two laboratories are:
