Brief Biosketch

Peter Cheng has over 30 years of experience in teaching, consulting and business operations in the USA, Hong Kong and Mainland China.

After graduation, he worked in various industrial engineering positions in the USA for ten years.  He taught in the Department of Manufacturing Engineering as a Lecturer at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 1986-1992. He then held various key managerial and operations management positions in both the business and industrial sectors in Hong Kong and on the Mainland.  His major responsibilities were in Operations and Manufacturing Strategy Planning and Execution, Systems Development and Control, Production and Support Systems Re-engineering.

Peter Cheng has recently joined the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department as Teaching Fellow and is engaged in the teaching of various operations management subjects.
