The team of Prof. HU Xiangen, Director of Educational Research Centre [to be renamed as the Educational Research and Technologies Centre (ERTC) on 1 September 2026], IHERD, launched the “Pacesetting Global Educational Transformation Report: AI-Driven Innovations from 100 Selected Top Universities” at the Global Smart Education Conference 2026 in Beijing on 18 August. The report, published in six official UN languages, examined 100 representative universities worldwide and sought to identify emerging patterns of AI-driven transformation in higher education and to explore how selected institutional experiences may inform broader efforts to build more inclusive, ethical, and future-oriented higher education systems.
