PolyU Tourist Satisfaction Index Launched

The PolyU Tourist Satisfaction Index (PolyU TSI), a project spearheaded by the SHTM's Chair Professor of Tourism and Associate Director, Professor Haiyan Song, is a pioneering project attempting to comprehensively and continuously monitor tourist satisfaction. Launched at PolyU on 17 December, the PolyU TSI will provide government agencies responsible for tourism-related activities, different sectors of the tourism industry and the general public with much needed information for decision making and planning.

MOU Signed with Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority

The SHTM recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) to collaborate on the rolling out of educational strategies aimed at honing Abu Dhabi's ability to engage the rapidly emerging Asian outbound tourism market.

PolyU Fifteenth Congregation (SHTM) – Graduation Ceremony Marks New Beginnings

The annual Congregation, as the culmination of the School's academic activities over the past year, is the occasion for the formal conferment of academic awards to students who have successfully completed either study programmes or research studies.

Outstanding PolyU SHTM Alumni Award 2009

During the PolyU 15th Congregation, Ms Alison Yau, Director of Business Development, Rhombus International Hotels Group, was awarded the Outstanding PolyU SHTM Alumni Award 2009.
