Mr Chong Chiu Ping Dave, Managing Director of Lucky Industrial Group Limited, transformed a small factory into an enterprise with 3,000 employees and a total factory area of about 80,000 square meters in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Vietnam respectively. As a distinguished industrialist and entrepreneur, Mr. Chong has made significant contributions to the development of the Hong Kong toy industry over the past decades. Under his leadership, his company has built an excellent reputation and received numerous awards for its contributions to the community and green production.

Mr Chong has held the chairmanship of various industrial associations, including Chairman of Hong Kong Foundry Association (2006-2008), Vice-Chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Machinery & Metal Industries (2006 - 2008), and Honorary President, Hong Kong Foundry Association. In addition, he served as a Member of the Toys Advisory Committee in HKTDC Industry Advisory Committees and a Member of the Metal & Plastic Training Committee under the Vocational Training Council (2006 - 2017), for promoting industrial development and the training of future talents in Hong Kong. With his accomplishments and reputation in the industry, he served as Fogang CPPCC Member 佛岡縣政協 (2008-2016) and Qingyuan City CPPCC Member 清遠市政協 (2012-2022).

Mr Chong is enthusiastic about the work of the alumni association to link up all the alumni of manufacturing and industrial engineering in the PolyU and strengthen the network between the University, the alumni, and the industry. He was a Chairman of the PolyU MILES Alumni Association (2012-2016) and Chairman Advisor since 2016. In recognition of his contributions to ISE, Mr Chong received ISE Distinguished Alumni Award in 2007.
