Biography

Professor Tracie Frost is a professor in accounting at the School of Accounting and Finance. Prior to pursuing her doctorate in accounting, Dr. Frost worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP for seven years as a practitioner of insurance taxation in PwC’s Washington National Tax Practice.  She also has governmental and private firm accounting experience.  She has been a visiting professor at MAII Stratford University in New Delhi, India, and at Florida Atlantic University. She is a certified public accountant in the United States of America.

Dr. Frost has research interests in Accounting Information Systems, Audit, and ESG. Her work appears in top accounting journals included Contemporary Accounting Research, the Journal of Banking, Finance, and Accounting, the British Accounting Review, and the Journal of Information Systems. Dr. Frost is also well-published in the practitioner space.  She has authored more than 100 articles and six books on U.S. insurance taxation and has published several articles on developments in Indian taxation.

Dr. Frost’s teaching interests include Accounting Information Systems, Financial Accounting, and Tax.
