It was the first time I travelled alone in Europe, stayed in a youth hostel, handled household chores from start to finish, spent the night at a friend's house and enjoyed a movie night.

YANG Yixuan

Aarhus University, Denmark

This was taken at midnight in Aarhus countryside. People on social media were talking about the abnormally high aurora index all over Europe. I cannot believe I could see such a specular aurora. The aurora was like dancing, and it was so rare that aurora could be seen in Denmark. Thank God I could witness this magic before coming back to Hong Kong.

Companionship was one of the most cherished aspects of my exchange. I was fortunate to meet a diverse group of students from all over the world. We shared experiences, learned from each other's cultures, and supported one another through the challenges of living abroad.

Standing at Jungfraujoch, "The Top of Europe," with my friends was a surreal experience. The biting cold, the misty air, and the Swiss flag waving proudly behind us created a magical moment.

We were at the university fresher’s fair where students from different societies set up stalls to introduce themselves and attract new students to the society. We also took a photo with the mascot, the signature of the university.
