Biography

Chaobo Zhang obtained his Bachelor degree in Building Environment and Energy Application Engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology in 2017. Then, he got his PhD degree in Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering from the Zhejiang University in 2022. From 2023 to 2025, he was employed as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of the Built Environment at the Eindhoven University of Technology. Now, he is a research assistant professor in the Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering at Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Research Interests

  • My research focuses on building performance simulation, fault detection and diagnosis of building energy systems, building big data
  • analytics, and application of AI and large language models in buildings
