The Electrochemical Energy Laboratory is an innovative platform devoted to the cutting-edge research, development of energy conversion and storage technologies based on electrochemical principles. Its core goal is to advance the research in three areas: (1) Development of nanomaterials for electrochemical reactions, which include hydrogen evolution reaction, oxygen evolution reaction and oxygen reduction reaction; (2) Exploring aqueous batteries for high performance and stable operation; (3) Optimization of proton exchange membrane (PEM) water electrolysis for durable and reliable hydrogen production. The research activities are aimed to meet the growing demands of clean energy, sustainable transportation, and portable electronic devices.
