Photonics, Plasmonics and Optoelectronics
This research area studies the processing and characterisations of photonic, plasmonic and optoelectronic materials and their applications in devices. It focuses on design and fabrication of fibre lasers and white-light LEDs; photodetectors; nanoplasmonics and metamaterials; plasmon-enhanced photocatalysis, optofluidics, artificial photosynthesis, micro-/nano-optics; optical characterisations, pulsed laser deposition; nano-bio-photonics for biomedicine, ultrafast optical spectroscopy; linear/non-linear optical properties of semiconductor materials and devices, etc.
