  • Bachelor’s degree with honours in mathematics, statistics, business, finance, science, computer science, engineering, or the equivalent. Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in other disciplines and an adequate background in mathematics or IT will also be considered.

For applicants who are not native English speakers and whose Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification was awarded by institutions where the medium of instruction is not English, submission of one of the following English proficiency test results (taken in a single sitting within the past 2 years) is required to meet the minimum English language requirement for admission:

  • A score of 80 or above in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Internet-based test; or
  • An Overall Band score of 6.0 or above in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic module.

As the above-mentioned qualifications are by no means exhaustive, Departments have the full discretion to accept other English qualifications as deemed equivalent for admitting applicants to their programmes.

Non-local applicants must be registered as full-time students.
