With more than 30 years of experience in the optometry profession, Prof. Susana Chung Tze-ling has made paramount contributions to the research breakthroughs in vision rehabilitation. Her international reputation is evidenced by the honours bestowed upon her by authorities in Hong Kong, Australia and the United States. Passionate about serving her alma mater and improving professional standards, she takes initiatives to discuss the strategic direction of vision rehabilitation research with PolyU faculty members, and goes to great lengths to connect them with experts ranging from psychology to computer science for interdisciplinary synergy. Moreover, her dedication to serve the profession is exemplified by her appointments as an associate editor for leading academic journals, as well as a grant reviewer for funding agencies.
