Mrs Pauline Tsang Po Yan

Mrs Pauline Tsang Po Yan is 1958 graduate of Commerce of the Hong Kong Technical College, predecessor of PolyU. She has maintained a strong bond with her alma mater even though she has been in Canada for years to develop her career. With her outstanding leadership and extensive social network, she played a key role in the establishment of the PolyU (Eastern Canada) Association in 1999, and has since served as its President. The Association is the University’s second overseas association, with over 200 members now. Mrs Tsang has also contributed toward the setting up of other overseas associations, including the PolyU (Australia) Association and one to be established in the United Kingdom. She has provided tremendous support to the University in the expansion of its overseas network and coordination with former staff and graduates abroad.

Mrs Tsang is enthusiastic in participating in social service and charity work. Apart from being Board Members of various community service associations in Toronto, she also leads the PolyU (Eastern Canada) Association in supporting the University’s wide range of activities such as its 65th Anniversary Dinner, Human Rainbow, Alumni Homecoming Carnival, Greening Hong Kong by PolyU Alumni community event, as well as in joining efforts with the PolyU (Western Canada) Association to support the University’s tree-naming campaign.
