New CPL spectrometer is now available for booking

The University Research Facility in Life Sciences (ULS) is pleased to announce that the JASCO CPL-300 Circularly Polarized Luminescence (CPL) Spectrophotometer is now available for booking. For details and charges of the instrument, and recent examples for its applications, please check the following link. ULS training workshop: Circularly Polarized Luminescence (CPL) spectrometer

A training workshop for the JASCO CPL-300 Circularly Polarized Luminescence (CPL) spectrometer will be held on 25th April, 2019 in Y709. Two sessions are available for booking: Morning session : 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Afternoon session: 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm Due to space limitation, attendance of the workshop will be on a first-come, first-served basis. New ULS Equipment - Nikon SMZ1270i Fluorescence Stereomicroscope

The University Research Facility in Life Sciences (ULS) is pleased to announce that the Nikon SMZ1270i Fluorescence Stereomicroscope is now available for booking. The new system is a parallel-optics and zooming type stereomicroscope offering advanced operability, as well as high magnification, zoom ratio and resolution. ULS Seminar and Demo - ImageXpress Pico Automated Cell Imaging System

The University Research Facility in Life Sciences (ULS) is co-organising a seminar and a demonstration on the ImageXpress Pico Automated Cell Imaging System with Molecular Devices. The details are as follows: Date: 23rd April, 2019 (Tuesday) Time: 2:00 to 2:30 pm (seminar); 2:30 to 3:30 pm (demo) Venue: Y716, Lee Shau Kee Building (Block Y) Speaker: Dr Ting Fung Tsang, Product Specialist, Molecular Devices Registration is not required for the seminar and demo, but seating will be on a first-come-first-served basis. If you would like to try the system using your own sample, please contact Dr Michael Yuen by 18th April for arrangement.

New ULS Equipment - Nikon Ti2-E Live-cell Fluorescence Imaging System

The University Research Facility in Life Sciences (ULS) is pleased to announce that the Nikon Ti2-E Live-cell Fluorescence Imaging System is now available for booking. The new system is an inverted, fully motorised, large-field-of-view wide-field fluorescence microscope equipped with a collection of state-of-the-art features for live-cell and large-tissue tile imaging. Antibody Day 2019 by Thermo Fisher Scientific

The University Research Facility in Life Sciences (ULS) is co-organising the Antibody Day 2019 with Thermo Fisher Scientific. ULS Newsletter (Spring 2019)

Updates on the ULS Equipment Charging Scheme (2019)

The University Research Facility in Life Sciences (ULS) will be updating our Equipment Charging Scheme with effect from 1 January, 2019. In the meantime, we are pleased to offer discounts to internal research groups with monthly usage exceeding HK$5000 (10% discount) or HK$10000 (20% discount). If you have any queries about our new charging scheme, please do not hesitate to contact our staff.
