The School of Optometry organized the Student Award cum Outstanding Alumni Award Ceremony on 26 August 2025 to present the “Outstanding Alumni Award of PolyU School of Optometry” to Ms Yip Siu-lai Queenie, and the “Outstanding Young Alumni Award of PolyU School of Optometry” to Prof. Leung Tsz-wing Jeffery, in recognition of their professional achievements and significant contributions to the School, PolyU and the community.
At the ceremony, Prof. Andrew Lam, Associate Head (Clinical Affairs) of School, congratulated the awardees and expressed appreciation to the two outstanding alumni for their remarkable achievements.
Following the award presentation, Ms Yip Siu-lai Queenie, recipient of the Outstanding Alumni Award, and Prof. Leung Tsz-wing Jeffrey, recipient of the Outstanding Young Alumni Award, shared their inspiring success stories. Both awardees expressed heartfelt gratitude to the School for its support and guidance, and spoke passionately about their aspirations and commitment to the optometry profession.
The Outstanding Alumni Award of PolyU School of Optometry established in 2022, aims to give public recognition to the outstanding graduates for their professional achievements and significant contributions to the community and their alma mater.
