PolyU School of Nursing won the Gold Award at the eLearning Forum Asia (eLFA) 2026

16 Jul 2026

We are delighted to announce that PolyU School of Nursing’s “V-IMPACT-AI - Student-Staff Co-Developed Virtual Immersive Mentorship Prompt-engineered AI for Communication Training” has won the Gold Award at the eLearning Forum Asia (eLFA) 2026 in the Exemplary Teaching and Learning Award category.

This student-staff co-developed initiative, created in collaboration with the PolyU Industrial Centre and our nursing students, pioneers a new pedagogy combining immersive VR simulation, prompt engineering, generative AI, and therapeutic communication training. Through personalised, context-rich learning, nursing students strengthened communication confidence, self-efficacy, and AI literacy — demonstrating a scalable model for future-ready education across healthcare and other professional disciplines.

A heartfelt thank you to all our students and staff whose creativity, collaboration, and commitment made this possible! Together, we continue to push the boundaries of technology-enhanced learning and student-centred innovation.
