How can you stay ahead of the game as the hospitality and tourism industry undergoes transformation? At the SHTM, we offer globally recognised doctoral and master's degrees for those who want to deepen and extend their knowledge and fast-track their careers.

The Doctor of Hotel and Tourism Management (D.HTM) attracts a wide range of professionals who wish to enhance their careers, from experienced practitioners and government representatives to academics from around the world. This programme offers a unique combination of subjects and research, and its flexible delivery is ideal for busy students. Internationally recognised, the D.HTM programme has a well-earned reputation for helping graduates advance their careers by developing their innovation, creativity and research skills in an Asian context.

Offered by the SHTM in Hong Kong, EHL Hospitality Business School in Switzerland and the Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership at the University of Houston in the United States, the award-winning Master of Science (MSc) in Global Hospitality Business is an innovative educational programme that allows students to spend one semester in each of Europe, Asia and North America to take advantage of these three outstanding faculties and campuses. More than a master's degree and more than a career booster, this tripartite programme provides students with an in-depth understanding of these three distinct markets and gives them access to three strong alumni networks.

To afford students more options and flexibility, six flagship master's degrees are offered under the MSc Scheme in Hospitality and Tourism Management:
  • The MSc in Artificial Intelligence in Hospitality equips students with essential skills in and knowledge of advanced AI technologies, ultimately helping them succeed in an AI-empowered industry.
  • The MSc in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Hospitality is for industry professionals who value an entrepreneurial mindset for innovation, change and growth. It prepares them to lead hospitality innovation and entrepreneurship for the sustainable development of the global industry.
  • The MSc in International Hospitality Management nurtures global hospitality leaders by challenging students to put their academic knowledge to work in practical contexts. The programme is designed to enhance students' strategic thinking, problem-solving, decision-making and leadership skills while deepening their understanding of the industry.
  • The MSc in International Tourism and Event Management develops students' tourism and convention management skills through strategic perspectives and pragmatic implementation. We offer interdisciplinary subject exposure, decision-making theory and management application to enhance industry practice and research competencies.
  • The MSc in International Wine Management is ideal for industry leaders, educators and researchers seeking a targeted postgraduate qualification. The programme gives them an in-depth understanding of the latest wine industry trends and helps them lead the global industry into the future.
  • The MSc in Luxury Experiences Management is for luxury industry professionals and career aspirants. It prepares leaders and researchers to shape the industry's future.
