Register for the HKWS-X 2020 and Learn the Latest about Hospitality and Tourism Management Online, for FREE!
The Hong Kong PolyU Winter School (HKWS) has been running for 17 years. This year's HKWS-X is a special version to support the hospitality and tourism industry in view of the COVID-19 situation. The HKWS-X 2020 programme offers 12 one-hour online modules in hospitality and tourism management related to or with an emphasis on the recovery from the pandemic. It will be held from 2 to 17 December 2020.

HKWS-X 2020 is a learning opportunity offered by the SHTM on a complimentary basis. It features many leading industry professionals and academics who present a series of interactive modules.
SHTM Engaged to Develop Academic Programmes for University of Tabuk in Saudi Arabia

The SHTM is privileged to announce that it has secured a consultancy project to develop academic programmes in tourism and hospitality management for the University of Tabuk (UT) in Saudi Arabia.
Ph.D. Opportunities Offered at World-Leading SHTM


The SHTM invites Ph.D. applications to the Hong Kong Ph.D. Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS), Ph.D. Scholarship, and Teaching Postgraduate Studentship (TPS) Scheme, for admission in 2021/2022. Successful Ph.D. applicants will receive a monthly assistantship in terms of a stipend or salary to support their studies.

Renowned Hotelier Mr Robert H. Burns Honoured with SHTM Lifetime Achievement Award

The SHTM is privileged to announce that Mr Robert H. Burns, Founder of Regent International Hotels, was recently bestowed the SHTM Lifetime Achievement Award 2020 in recognition of his significant contribution to the development of hospitality and tourism. Mr Burns, a longstanding partner of the School, was inducted into its famous Gallery of Honour at the same time.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND RECOGNITION

In celebration of World Tourism Day, the SHTM organised its own Dress Orange Day. This year, the event was held virtually on 25 September. SHTM staff and students came dressed in orange, the School's colour, to show their support and demonstrate unity.
