Dr Sangwon Park gave a talk on "Tourism Big Data: Network Communities in South Korea" at the 2019 Tourism Big Data Forum in Seoul, Korea on 11 December 2019.

Professor Kaye Chon and Dr Dan Wang attended the 25th Annual Graduate Education and Graduate Student Research Conference in Hospitality and Tourism in Las Vegas, USA on 3-5 January 2020. Professor Chon participated in a panel session with hospitality journal editors entitled "Meet the Editors: Tips for Successful Journal Publishing". Dr Wang participated in a panel session entitled "Teaching Strategies for Successful Student Engagement and the Role of Technology in the Classroom".

Professor Haiyan Song, Professor Rob Law and SHTM Ph.D. graduates Dr Snow Wu and Dr Jerry Zheng attended the ENTER2020 International eTourism Conference in Surrey, UK on 8-10 January. Professor Song and Professor Law presented a co-authored paper entitled "Exploring the Ways to Improve Personalisation: The Influence of Tourist Context on Service Perceptions". Professor Law presented a co-authored paper entitled "Revisiting 'Disintermediation' in Travel Product Distribution of Airline Industry in Mobile Technology Era". Professor Law, Dr Wu and Dr Zheng presented a co-authored paper entitled "Love Too Deep or Hard to Leave? A Study of Mobile App Loyalty".

Dr Norman Au presented a co-authored paper entitled "Roadmaps and Challenges of Robotic Integration in Hotel Operation: The Insiders' Perspective" at the Asia-Pacific Conference on Business and Social Science in Nagoya, Japan on 20-22 January 2020.

Professor Kaye Chon gave a speech entitled "Developing Sustainable and Competitive Tourism and MICE Industry" at the 2020 TOSOK (The Tourism Sciences Society of Korea) Busan International Conference in Busan, Korea on 7-8 February.

Ms Anny Ho attended the CMAA's World Conference and Club Business Expo in Texas, US on 8-12 February 2020.

Professor Haiyan Song presented two co-authored papers, entitled "Understanding the Success of Hospitality I-Deals Negotiation: Examining the Individual and Organizational Effects" and "Experience Co-Creation in the P2P Accommodation Sharing Sector in China", at the 30th Annual CAUTHE Conference in Auckland, New Zealand on 10-13 February 2020.

Dr Pearl Lin presented a co-authored paper entitled "Dining with Strangers Pursuing in Food Tourism?" at the ATLAS Gastronomy and Tourism Research Group Meeting in Angers, France on 12-15 February 2020.
