ACHIEVEMENTS AND RECOGNITION
The Above & Beyond at Hotel ICON has been listed in the South China Morning Post's 100 Top Tables 2020 – A Fine Dining Guide for Hong Kong and Macau, the book features 100 of the best restaurants in Hong Kong and 20 in Macau.
Professor Haiyan Song was appointed as an Honorary Fellow of CAUTHE in recognition of his contribution to tourism and hospitality education and research at the 30th Annual CAUTHE Conference in Auckland, New Zealand on 10-13 February 2020.
To mark the 40th anniversary of the SHTM, students and staff, including current Hotel ICON staff, were invited to take part in a Selfie Photo Contest. For 40 days, from 2 September to 11 October, participants took selfies capturing images or patterns related to the number 40 and shared them on social media.

The winner of the first prize, SHTM Ph.D. student Ms Hakimeh Nasiri.
The second prize goes to SHTM MSc student Ms Isabelle Zhu.
SHTM Ph.D. student Ms Nafiseh Rezaei wins the third prize.
