SHTM VISITORS

31 May - Participants at the Times Higher Education Innovation & Impact Summit
The SHTM had the opportunity to showcase its strength in innovation as well as teaching and research excellence through Hotel ICON to delegates at the Times Higher Education (THE) Innovation & Impact Summit. Co-hosted by PolyU and THE, the Summit was a key celebratory event of the University's 80th anniversary.

2 June - Hotelschool The Hague, Netherlands
Ms Fauve van Zuijlen from Hotelschool The Hague visited the School.

5 June - Toyo University, Japan
Professor Takashi Shimakawa, Professor and Department Chair, Faculty of International Tourism Management at Toyo University, Professor Masaki Hirata, Associate Professor Jyunichiro Tokue, and Mr Keiichi Nagai, Visiting Researcher visited the SHTM and its facilities.

9 June - Guilin Tourism University, China
Professor Daopin Chen, President of Guilin Tourism University, Ms Jianlin Li, Assistant President, Professor Jianglin Zhou, Assistant President, Mr Jian Zhang, Director of Teaching Affairs, Professor Hailin Zhang, Teacher at the School of International Education and Exchange, visited the SHTM.

9 June - Fujita Kanko Inc, Japan
Ms Kaori Hashimoto, General Manager of Education and Recruitment, Fujita Kanko Inc, Ms Eiko Suzuki, Manager of Education and Recruitment Office and Ms Jing Ma, President and Director of Fujita (Shanghai) Business Consultant Co Ltd visited the School.

12 June - Hebei Education Department, China
Professor Tongkun Wang, President, Hebei Normal University of Science and Technology, led a delegation of 27 senior executives from 20 educational organisations on a visit to the School and its facilities.

16 June - The Hong Kong Council of the Church of Christ in China, Hong Kong
A group of 20 members from the Hong Kong Council of the Church of Christ in China visited the SHTM.

22 June - Griffith University, Australia
Dr Brent Moyle, Senior Research Fellow, Griffith Institute for Tourism at Griffith University, visited the SHTM.

29 June - Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand
Dr Peter Kim, Associate Professor, School of Hospitality and Tourism, Auckland University of Technology, led a group of 50 students on a visit to the School.

6 July - Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong
Mr Pierre Barthes, General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong and Ms Annie Ng, Director of Human Resources visited the School and Hotel ICON.

Ms Li Liu, Deputy Dean of Hotel Education Research Institute, Yinxing Hospitality Management College of Chengdu University of Information Technology and Ms Huiling Yang, Associate Director of Tourism Management Department, Sichuan Engineering Technical College visited the School.

19 July - The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, Hong Kong
Led by Mr Martin Nam, Development Officer, Youth Exchange Unit of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, 26 Young Ambassadors visited the School and Hotel ICON.

20 July - Ningbo Education Bureau, China
A 19-member delegation consisting of senior management and administrative staff from 10 tertiary institutions in Ningbo visited the SHTM.

20 July - University of Surrey, UK
Professor Caroline Scarles, Head of School of Hospitality and Tourism Management & Professor in Tourism, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of Surrey visited the SHTM.
