職業治療學理學碩士學位
FANG Yunling
Being a student at PolyU has been an unforgettable experience for me. The beautiful campus, the colorful campus activities, and the abundant online and offline learning resources enriched my everyday life. Here, I was given the opportunity to thoroughly and deeply understand and implement Evidence-based Practice (EBP) and further improve my critical thinking skills through the well-organized curriculum. The professors in our faculty are all top-notch researchers, from whom I understood the profound meaning of research. The course “Study Project” allowed me to practice the whole research process of identifying a problem, designing and conducting the research, collecting and analyzing the data, writing an article and publishing it. Although the process is full of challenges, it inspires my passion for research. I firmly believe that I will be more motivated in both clinical and research work in the future. Finally, I would highly recommend this MScOT program to those who are passionate about OT and want to go deeper in their career.

My experience in the MSc in Occupational Therapy programme was fruitful and enjoyable. It greatly benefitted me professionally and personally. Professionally, this programme provided in-depth research and practical knowledge beyond fundamental theories. We were encouraged to evaluate current healthcare policies and service models, and brainstorm solutions for these contemporary issues. This sharpened my critical thinking and deepened my understanding of OT practices in Hong Kong from different perspectives. Studying in this programme also expanded my knowledge of the latest rehabilitation advancements. We had opportunities to conduct research projects and publish articles in journals. Best of all, the programme provided flexibility for students to select courses according to our interests and specialisation, which can be tailored to our study needs and relevant to our day-to-day work as therapists. On a personal note, I had the chance to reflect and apply the knowledge learned in this programme into practice. I have met therapists from various backgrounds, it was a valuable opportunity to work together and share our clinical experiences.
