Prof. Xiao-Ming Wu is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She was previously associated with the Department of Computing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, since 2016. She received her PhD degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Columbia University, also in 2016. She has a broad interest in the field of AI, with her research endeavors spanning across natural language processing, computer vision and image analysis, multimodal understanding and generation, and multimedia retrieval and recommendation. Her recent research focuses on the development and applications of conversational, generative, and multimodal AI.
