To be a world-leading institute in quantum technology and make impactful innovations for the quantum industry in Hong Kong, catching an industrial revolution via quantum discoveries.

Mission

To pursue insight into the theory of quantum physics and quantum information by studying and controlling their interactions using chip technologies for secure communication, quantum computing, sensing and precision measurement that push the boundaries of what is possible;

To facilitate and enhance collaboration between all shareholders including researchers, industrial partners, and government sectors, supporting technology deployment and efficient commercialisation; and

To provide infrastructure for training young talents, promoting creativity, critical thinking, and entrepreneurship for the rapid growth of the quantum industry in Hong Kong, and to cultivate a diverse and skilled workforce for the quantum and microelectronic industry in Hong Kong.
