Dr Lam Tai-fai stated that PolyU would work hand in hand with Shaoxing to deepen collaborative innovation among Government, industry, academia and research, encouraging the transformation of high-calibre research outcomes for mutual benefit and growth.
Ms Wu Dengfen stated that the Institute had become a national intellectual property protection demonstration zone, providing enterprises and talent with strong support for innovation and an enabling environment for development.
Prof. Christopher Chao noted that PolyU would leverage its strength in research innovation and knowledge transfer to drive technological innovation and the commercialisation of research outcomes, thereby promoting regional sustainable development.
香港理工大学（理大）昨日与绍兴市柯桥区人民政府就共建的「香港理工大学绍兴技术创新研究院」（研究院）举行投运启动仪式暨「InnoHub绍兴创业中心」授牌，标志着港绍两地在科技创新合作迈入新阶段，为长三角区域一体化发展揭开崭新篇章。
启动仪式在绍兴举行，由理大校董会主席林大辉博士丶高级副校长（研究及创新）赵汝恒教授丶协理副校长（内地研究拓展）董澄教授丶理大绍兴技术创新研究院院长忻浩忠教授，联同绍兴市委副书记及市长吴登芬女士丶浙江省绍兴市人民政府副市长张雪女士丶柯桥区委副书记及区长景尧先生，以及柯桥区委常委及组织部部长潘晓东先生共同主持，见证研究院正式落地。
林大辉博士在致辞中表示：「理大绍兴技术创新研究院是绍兴市首家政府与境外高校合作的平台，充分体现各级政府对高等教育和科技创新的高度重视。理大将与绍兴携手并肩，深化政产学研协同创新，推动更多高水平的科技成果落地生根，实现互利共赢丶共同成长。」
吴登芬女士在致辞中表示：「柯桥区与理大自去年九月签订共建协议以来，双方携手同行丶顺畅合作，短短一年多时间，就建成投运香港理工大学绍兴技术创新研究院，创建成为国家智慧财产权保护示范区，为企业和人才提供良好的创新支撑与发展环境。」
理大绍兴技术创新研究院将聚焦四大科研中心，重点建设智慧纺织丶现代住建丶碳纤维及复合材料，以及食品营养与健康等领域。赵汝恒教授表示，这些研究方向高度契合国家战略与地方产业布局，借助理大科研创新和知识转移的综合优势，推动技术创新与成果转化，促进区域可持续发展。
