COMAC-PolyU Research Institute for Large Aircraft holds first academic committee meeting

The COMAC-PolyU Research Institute for Large Aircraft (RILA) held its inaugural Academic Committee Meeting at the PolyU Shenzhen Research Institute on 11 November 2025. 

The meeting brought together experts from The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) to review project guidelines and provide strategic guidance for RILA's development. The Committee evaluated multiple research initiatives across three key areas: intelligent design, precision manufacturing, and operation and maintenance. Following comprehensive discussions, the Committee approved several project guidelines to advance innovation in large-aircraft technology. The approved guidelines will be funded based on available resources and strategic priorities. The meeting marks an important step toward strengthening collaboration between COMAC and PolyU and advancing research excellence in China's large aircraft.

中國商飛－香港理工大學大飛機研究院於2025年11月11日在香港理工大學深圳研究院成功召開了首次學術委員會會議。
會議匯聚了來自中國商飛(商飛)及香港理工大學(理大)的專家學者，就研究項目指南進行評審，並為研究院的發展提供戰略指導。學術委員會評審了涵蓋智能設計、精密加工與製造及運行與維護三個方向的多項研究計劃。經過深入討論，委員會批准了多個推動大飛機技術創新的研究項目指南。獲批指南將根據資源配置及戰略優先順序獲得資助。會議標誌著商飛及理大在中國大飛機研究領域的合作邁向新階段。
