Funding Opportunities

To facilitate research and development in advanced manufacturing and to continually create significant societal impact, the Research Institute for Advanced Manufacturing (RIAM) has launched four funding schemes to better support PolyU academic staff.

• Critical-Mass Strategic Fund (up to HK$1.5M in three installments);
• Exploration Fund (up to HK$0.25M);
• Impact Fund (up to HK$0.5M);
• Matching Fund (up to HK$0.5M);

The financial support and requirements for the four schemes vary. For more details, please refer to the guideline.

Interested applicants should submit a RIAM application form, together with their proposals or required supporting documents, to Ms Cheryl Li at chi-ha-cheryl.li@polyu.edu.hk on or before 20 July 2025 (except for applications to the Impact Fund).
