Strain inhomogeneity in wide-band-gap perovskites accelerates ion migration and defect formation, leading to faster degradation and efficiency loss in tandem devices under real-world operation. To overcome this challenge, the research proposes an innovative approach by introducing benzamidinium chloride (BMCl) to strengthen lattice interactions and achieve a uniformly compressive strain throughout the perovskite film. This uniform strain effectively suppresses ion migration, reduces defect density, and enhances the lattice resilience under external stress. As a result, devices based on this method not only achieve high efficiency but also exhibit improved long-term stability, including excellent performance during outdoor operation. This work provides a promising strategy for the commercialization of perovskite solar cells, especially in improving operational stability and extending device lifetimes.
