Dr Elton Sun is a seasoned hospitality leader with over 30 years of experience, currently steering Hyatt’s UrCove brand in China as its CEO. His innovative "community-digital" approach drove UrCove’s rapid growth, with 50+ openings amid the pandemic. Previously, at Huazhu Group, he accelerated the expansion of Accor-affiliated brands, achieving record signings (1,800/year) and spearheading international ventures.
During his tenure at China Tourism Group, Dr Sun transformed the group into a major player, acquiring UK-based Krew Green and growing managed assets to ¥15B+. He also pioneered the Metropark brand. His early career at Lee Garden Group honed his expertise in luxury hotel management and marketing.
