The 16th Beijing International Film Festival AIGC Section has officially opened the registration channel for its core competition, the "72-Hours AIGC Film Hackathon - Hong Kong Station Preliminary Round".
Preliminary Round Competition Date: 2 Apr 2026 (Thursday)
Time：13:00 - 19:00
Venue：Successful registrants will receive a email notification with detailed event location information and campus access code.
Team Registration：Teams can formed freely (must be 2 people per team), and cross-disciplinary combinations are encouraged (AI Technology + film and television creation + screenwriting, etc.)

Deadline for application：30 Mar 2026 (Monday)
To facilitate registration for participants in Hong Kong, the organizers provided this Google registration form and the official WeChat registration channel, both of which are considered official registration channels. Participants only need to submit one registration through one of these channels. Successful registration is considered complete upon submission of the registration. Competition details will be sent via email after the registration deadline.

2. Scale：The competition is open for applications from around the world, and 16 teams (2 people per team) will be selected to enter the final competition in Beijing.
3. Finals Date：20 - 23 Apr, 2026
4. Finals Location：Haidian District, Beijing, China
5. Rewards：The winning team will receive exclusive honors and have the opportunity to participate in film festival screenings, industry matchmaking and other activities.
1. Judging Process: Preliminary judges from each competition city will score the entries submitted by the registered teams. The scores will not be announced on-site. The final shortlisted teams will be reviewed by the organizing committee's final judges, and 9 teams will be selected and announced on official platform.
(2) 視聽語言：短片運用畫面、聲音等元素進行敘事、表意和營造氛圍的綜合呈現。
(3) 創意呈現：短片在概念、視角和表現形式上的新穎程度和想象力。
(4) AIGC技術性：AIGC相關技術所呈現的作品質量、創意性應用、技術力、一致性、突破性等。
(3) Creative Presentation：The novelty and imagination of the short film in terms of concept, perspective, and form of expression.
(4) AIGC Technicality：The quality, creative application, technical strength, consistency, and breakthrough of the work presented by AIGC-related technologies.
