PolyU has attained an encouraging result in the newly released Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2024, ranking 65th place globally amongst more than 1,500 institutions evaluated.

 

Institutions are ranked based on the analysis of 17.5 million academic papers and the expert opinions of over 240,000 academic faculty and employers. PolyU managed to improve its ranking indicators, such as “Academic Reputation”, “Citations per Faculty”, “International Staff”, and “International Students”. It also performed well in the new “Sustainability” indicator. These remarkable results reaffirm PolyU’s global leading position.

 

In addition, PolyU is proud to rise to 4th place in the latest Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings 2023, up one place from last year. In this league table, institutions 50 years old or younger are ranked according to their performance in teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.

 

Going forward, the University will continue to strive to be an innovative world-class university with a strong sense of social responsibility. It will also continue to pursue academic excellence in education, research and knowledge transfer, and strengthen cooperation with partners around the world, with the goal of playing a more important role in the global higher education landscape so as to contribute to the betterment of Hong Kong, the Nation and the world.
