Service-Learning and Leadership Office (SLLO)

The Service-Learning and Leadership Office (SLLO) is overseen by the Head of the Service-Learning and Leadership Office. Its major functions include:

  1. Supporting and assisting in the development and implementation of high-impact credit-bearing service-learning subjects at PolyU; 
  2. Promoting effective service-learning pedagogies that enhance students’ learning and development as a civic-minded professional;
  3. Soliciting and sustaining community support for service-learning at PolyU;
  4. Providing further opportunities and support for students’ continual engagement in meaningful community services beyond credit-bearing service-learning subjects;
  5. Advancing the scholarship and research in service-learning through rigorous evaluation studies of impacts and community-based research;
  6. Fostering inter-institutional collaboration in service-learning, both locally and internationally; and 
  7. Nurturing global youth leaders by providing programmes and learning opportunities to groom students to become future leaders with critical thinking and global vision.

Monday to Friday: 9:00a.m.-12:45p.m. & 2:00p.m.-5:50p.m.
Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays: Closed
